an act of resistance
against a world full of despair
we are living in a time
where nothing is normal
that is okay
for in the holy act of waiting
we can fully understand
just how much we are loved
by a boy
who will one day
unsettle the world
with his joy for learning
teaching us about political injustices
of how to have
the marginalized
have their voice heard
for the cries of injustice
not found in history books
but in the streets filled with pleas
by Black and Brown bodies
